Pretty ‘n pink … I adore pink, it is such a warm loving color! Perfect for Mothers Day!
We shall call this tablescape design, a feminine farmhouse chic look that features various shades of pink and accents of silver and white. The table cloth does have a bit of a lovely shimmer somewhat towards the metallic feel.
I had these white super darling a bit art deco feel planters that really went well with this theme. At first I was planning on doing three floral arrangements but after I made two, three just felt way overboard for the table. I did get carried away with one of the arrangements and made it extra full but I decided to keep it as I love how differently unique they both turned out.
The best thing to use for these type of arrangements is some foam that you can get from Michaels, Walmart, Amazon … ideally soak it for 24 hours to ensure great hydration for the flowers, I also will add a bit of extra water in the planter since I made these days ahead of the event and do check on them to make sure they are fully plump and happy!
Always cut a little bit off the stem of every flower, this keeps them fresher as the freshly cut stem will absorb water better. Then start placing each one into the foam at all different heights and directions. I did start off with placing the greenery first and then worked the flowers one by one altering the different kinds. I used three different flower types, one white and two shades of pink with one type of greenery besides the greenery that was on the roses.
Lets set the table … I did end up including two candles that I wasn’t originally planning to incorporate in the design but i found that they added a nice elegant element and elevated the table with another shape and height dimension.
I did keep the design simple and not over crowd the table with decor as I will be placing food and beverages on the table day of event. Always good to keep in mind if you are doing the same, making sure there is enough space for that. I also used paper napkins and really mixed different elements together to achieve that farmhouse chic look.
Enjoy Mother’s Day weekend!
