Spring is around the corner … the warm air is coming in and waking up to the birds chirping is truly so lovely! Cannot wait for all the blooms and greenery to be back in full swing.
This Easter I really wanted to embrace the calmness and keep things simple yet still cute and fun for our Easter table decor. I opted for a simple, rustic look with some slight pops of color.
Floral Arrangements
I went to Home Depot and purchased 3 large 8″ clay flower pots to plant white tulips and 2 small 4″ ones to create little nests with some colorful eggs inside. Gave the clay plots one coat of Ultra Matte French Beige paint color from BEHR. I had this paint from last year as that is one of my favorite colors for the home. The paint dried very fast and I didn’t paint all the way on the inside as I was going to put dirt, however, the pots do have a whole which I taped around to ensure water didn’t leak all over the table (you can buy saucers which are located right next to the clay pots at the store, I preferred to keep it very minimal and simple).
I was hoping to to have planted tulips however I was not able to find any in the local stores so just got 3 bunches which worked out great! I would suggest to place the tulips in planters day of your event to ensure they keep their freshness.
Once your clay pots are all set to go, add some dirt and start placing each petal as you like. I ended up using 1 bunch of tulips which included 10 petals per pot. Also, don’t forget to water + make sure the dirt is NOT cold as the tulips will not like that and will wilt.
Nests
For the 2 little egg nests, I used the smaller pots and added in some natural moss to keep the color muted and used more colorful eggs for that pop of color factor. I played around and shaped the moss to create the nest-like look and added in the smaller eggs. These eggs I purchased at Michaels they are on a smaller side to make sure they fit and are proportionate with the pot.
Table Setting
Tablecloth I purchased is 120in x 60in in a cotton and linen blend with creases that creates a very natural and rustic feel. Continued the rustic feel with plates from Stoneware Hearth & Hand™ with Magnolia. I am absolutely in love with these plates and to really enchase the look and give it some dimension I paired the plates with vintage crystal glasses and gold silverware. To tie in the gold silverware, I created little nests for the plates where the eggs have splashes of gold metallic and kept the napkins a muted shade of cream. I had some eggs left over and scattered them throughout the table as they compliment the overall look. The table is all set for guests!
